The Chinese online shop Temu offers much more than clothing, decor, or household products. Electronic devices are also part of the range. However, customers should pay particular attention here, as the quality does not always meet European standards. Currently, there are two recalls.

Temu has set up a special website for safety alerts of this kind. Here, users can find products that do not meet general safety standards and therefore should no longer be sold or used. In June, two kitchen devices were added to the list: a crepe maker and an air fryer.

While one device was found to have overheating and fire hazards, tests on the other revealed several safety deficiencies. Customers are urged to stop using the products immediately.

Crepe Maker Can Overheat

The first recall concerns an electric pancake and crepe maker from the seller “Premium Collection Store.” The identification number is ZY-502, and the product ID is 601102478131062.

The device is described as an electric pancake and egg roll maker with a non-stick coating, adjustable heating levels, and a 30-centimeter grill plate. It is designed for European sockets with 220 to 240 volts.

According to Temu, tests revealed a thermal safety issue. The measured temperature increase during operation exceeded the maximum allowable limit, which could cause the device to overheat. In the worst case, there is a risk of fire. Affected are customers who purchased the product before June 7, 2026.

Air Fryer Has Several Safety Deficiencies

Temu published another recall a few days later. It concerns a four-liter air fryer from the seller “ICEBOSS.” The product’s identification number is 7807375237, and the product ID is 601099845357918. Affected are customers who purchased the air fryer before June 14, 2026.

According to Temu, tests showed that the product poses various injury risks. These include dangers from direct or indirect contact, insufficient insulation, mechanical hazards, and other non-electrical risks.

For this reason, consumers should immediately stop using the device and dispose of it safely. Anyone who has passed on or sold the air fryer should inform other users about the recall.

Temu Offers Refunds Through Support Center

For both recalls, Temu offers affected customers the option to request a refund. The company refers to its Support Center for this purpose. Questions or concerns about the safety notices can also be submitted there. Temu apologizes for the inconvenience caused in both recall notices.

Further Recalls

The current warnings are part of a series of product recalls this year. In recent months, smoothie makers from Media Markt and Saturn were recalled due to potential choking hazards, a battery-powered stand mixer from Aldi due to a potential fire risk, and an air fryer from TEDi due to safety-related deficiencies. A safety warning was also issued for certain pendant lights from the manufacturer Markslöjd, as there is a risk of electric shock under certain circumstances.

Consumers should regularly pay attention to recall notices and not continue to use affected products.
