If you recently bought a smoothie maker at Media Markt or Saturn, you should check your device more closely. The manufacturer Imtron GmbH warns of a potential issue with a model from the Koenic brand. These devices are among the private labels of the two retailers.
According to the website Produktwarnung.eu, certain smoothie makers should not be used further. The reason is a design flaw that could pose a risk.
Specific Model Affected
The specific model in question is KSBL-TR 456224. The purchase date is important here. Only devices sold before February 2026 are affected. If you bought your smoothie maker after January 31, 2026, you can continue to use it without restrictions. If the device has been in use for a longer time, the so-called PO number on the nameplate should be checked.
The following numbers are defective:
- 7000015170,
- 7000015889,
- 7000016344,
- 7000016534,
- 7000017671,
- 7000017962,
- 7000019196,
- 7000019419,
- 7000020595.
Other numbers are not affected.
Error Can Occur Unnoticed
If your device has one of the listed numbers, you should stop using it. The reason is a manufacturing defect in the lid of the drinking bottle, which also serves as a mixing container. After multiple cleanings in the dishwasher, a small component can come loose. This part can fall into the bottle unnoticed. There is a risk of swallowing it while drinking.
