Just in August, Google introduced the Pixel 11 series; the Pixel 11a is not expected until next spring. Yet, early leaks about the search giant’s next mid-range smartphone are already circulating. The online magazine “Android Headlines,” in collaboration with industry insider Steve Hemmerstoffer, also known as “OnLeaks,” has published renderings and technical details.
Few Design Changes for the Pixel 11a
Those hoping for a completely new look will likely be disappointed. The leaked renderings suggest that Google plans few visual changes for the Pixel 11a. The smartphone is expected to continue the now-established design language of the A-series. This includes the 6.3-inch display and the characteristic back with a nearly flush-mounted camera module.

Tensor G6 Instead of Old Hardware
The innovations inside are much more interesting. According to the leak, the Pixel 11a will be equipped with the Tensor G6, which also powers the models of the Pixel 11 series. This avoids a criticism that was repeatedly made with the Pixel 10a. The predecessor used the “old” Tensor G4 chipset instead of the Tensor G5, which was used in the Pixel 10 models.

Together with the largely unchanged design and nearly identical features, the device seemed to some buyers more like a refreshed Pixel 9a than a true generational update. And that at a higher price.
More Storage and Familiar Strengths
With the Pixel 11a, Google now seems to be returning to its previous strategy. In addition to the current processor, the smartphone is expected to come with at least 256 gigabytes of storage.
- Display: 6.3 inches, 1080p resolution, 60 to 120 Hertz, up to 3350 nits brightness
- Processor: Tensor G6
- RAM: 8 GB
- Storage: 256 GB or 512 GB
- Camera: 48-megapixel main camera, 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera
- Battery: 5100 mAh
- Dimensions: 153.46 × 72.35 × 9 mm
- Colors: Obsidian (Black), Fog (Silver), Olive (Green), Orchid (Purple)
- Expected Price: 549 to 599 euros
- Expected Market Launch: March 2027
In other areas, however, much remains unchanged. The display still offers up to 120 Hertz, the battery is again expected to hold 5100 mAh, and the camera setup reportedly changes little according to the leak. The price is also expected to remain the same as the predecessor, which, given the newer chipset and larger storage space, sounds like a good deal. These are still rumors. We will only have certainty when Google officially presents the model.
