Pixel 11a Leak Reveals Technical Details

Google has not yet unveiled the Pixel 11a. However, a new leak already provides a very detailed insight into the possible features of the smartphone. According to this, information about the processor, display, battery, modem, and color variants has already become known. Initial hints about changes compared to the current Pixel 10a have also leaked.

New Tensor Chip for the Pixel 11a

According to a post from the Telegram channel Mystic Leaks, the Pixel 11a is internally codenamed “Formosan.” The processor is expected to be the Tensor G6, known under the development name “Malibu.”

The current post does not mention technical details about the chip’s architecture. However, earlier reports speak of seven CPU cores. These include an Arm C1-Ultra with up to 4.11 gigahertz, four C1-Pro cores with up to 3.38 gigahertz, and two additional C1-Pro cores with up to 2.65 gigahertz.

In contrast, the Pixel 10a uses a Tensor G4 with eight cores. Its fastest core reaches up to 3.1 gigahertz. Despite the lower core count, the upcoming model is expected to be faster in terms of processor performance.

Changes in Graphics and Mobile Connectivity

Google is also planning changes to the graphics unit. Instead of the Mali GPU of the Pixel 10a, the Pixel 11a could feature a PowerVR graphics unit from the C series, designated CXTP-48-1536.
