Competition among streaming services continues to increase, and major providers are under pressure to keep their offerings attractive. Amazon is responding with new content for Prime Video. The company has unveiled an extensive lineup of series set to debut in the coming months and years.
New Fantasy Series Based on a Book
A central project is the planned adaptation of the fantasy series “Fourth Wing” by Rebecca Yarros. The story is set at Basgiath War College, a training ground for dragon riders where failure can be deadly. The focus is on Violet Sorrengail, who begins training as a dragon rider at her mother’s request.
The book series currently consists of three parts, with two more already announced. This provides ample material for multiple seasons. According to “digitalfernsehen.de,” Michael B. Jordan will serve as executive producer.

With “Rose Hill,” Amazon is launching another series aimed at fans of love stories. It is based on the books of the same name by Elsie Silver. The story follows farmer West Belmont, who struggles with commitment and is raising a daughter named Rosie. Meanwhile, wealthy music manager Ford Grant takes an interest in Rosie. When singer Skylar Stone arrives in the small town, conflicts arise. However, specific premiere dates for this series and Fourth Wing have not yet been announced.

Familiar Series Will Continue
In addition to new productions, Amazon is also relying on proven formats. The series “Rings of Power” will receive a third season, which starts on November 11, 2026. “Reacher” will also continue with a fifth season.
Additionally, Amazon is planning a new reality format called “Reality Retreat,” where well-known stars can test their personalities and relationships during a wellness retreat. Whether this format will be available outside the U.S. is currently unknown.
