A new year, a new Samsung flagship. As usual, the South Koreans will soon unveil their new premium smartphones. According to a leak, the Galaxy S26 is expected to come with unexpected prices.
Samsung is set to introduce the new generation of its Galaxy S series on February 25, 2026. While buyers eagerly await new features and technical innovations, the price remains a central issue due to increased costs for key components such as chips and memory. Initially, it was expected that Samsung would raise the prices for the Galaxy S26 and its variants, but recent reports suggest otherwise.
Prices Remain Stable for Galaxy S26
The price increases for chips and memory are primarily due to high demand. The expansion of data centers and the increased use of AI applications require powerful processors and modern storage solutions. These developments significantly tie up manufacturers’ capacities, affecting costs.
Contrary to earlier expectations, Samsung plans to keep the prices of the Galaxy S26 models at the level of the current generation. According to the South Korean Maeil Business Newspaper, the entry-level prices will remain unchanged. In Germany, this means the base model will still be available for 899 euros. The Galaxy S26 Plus and the Galaxy S26 Ultra will start at 1,149 euros and 1,449 euros, respectively.

Price Stability for Foldable Models
Similar to the Galaxy S26 models, Samsung plans to keep the prices of the upcoming foldable smartphones stable. These devices are expected in the summer. For the German market, the starting price of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 remains at 2,099 euros, while the Galaxy Z Flip 8 could be around 1,199 euros. This pricing matches the respective predecessor models.

Price Changes for Cheaper Models
Samsung seems to be taking a different approach with cheaper devices like the Galaxy A series. Some models could become more expensive to offset increased costs. Whether these price changes will actually be implemented will only be revealed at the official presentation of the Galaxy S26 series.
