Owners of several current Google Pixel smartphones are currently reporting issues with connectivity. Although the devices are turned on, they sometimes simply do not respond to incoming calls. Neither a ringtone nor a vibration or visible notification on the display alerts the user to the call. Only afterward does a notification of the missed call appear. The cause of the issue is not yet known.
Several Pixel Models Affected by the Issue
Reports of the problem can be found on Reddit and in the Google Issue Tracker. The Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9, and Pixel 9a are mentioned. Users describe that calls do come in, but the smartphone does not announce them. For the caller, it appears as if the connection initially remains and is then terminated.
An owner of a Pixel 10 Pro XL describes on Reddit in detail how the issue manifests. According to his account, the problem only appeared after the latest update. His wife sometimes has to call him three to four times before the smartphone even responds. The user also explains that he has already tried various obvious measures. He cleared the phone app’s cache, disabled “Do Not Disturb,” and restarted the smartphone multiple times. None of these steps resolved the issue.

Other Users Report Similar Experiences
Other Pixel owners also describe similar problems. One user reports that the issue persisted even after switching to a beta version. Disabling Wi-Fi calling initially helped but did not permanently resolve the issue.

Since the current reports mention different mobile carriers, the problem cannot yet be attributed to any specific provider.
No Official Solution Yet
An official explanation from Google regarding the causes is currently unavailable, as is a confirmed solution.
In a Reddit discussion, another affected user reports that resetting the network settings and then performing a full restart helped. Before taking this step, users should note that saved Wi-Fi connections and paired Bluetooth devices will be deleted, requiring reconfiguration afterward.
