Fritz! (formerly AVM) is expanding its current support offerings. In addition to the existing free customer service, the Fritzbox manufacturer is introducing three paid Service Plus packages. The new offerings aim to provide customers with additional support as needed.
What the Service Plus Packages Offer
The new Service Plus packages mainly differ in the scope of services included. The entry-level package is Basic, priced at 5.99 euros per month. This package is designed to speed up contact with customer service. Calls are prioritized in the queue, and support emails are handled preferentially.
Above that, Fritz! offers the Professional package for 17.99 euros per month. This package goes beyond just faster processing of inquiries. Customers also receive three remote analyses, a project with a system expert, a personalized needs analysis, and product recommendations.
Professional also includes additional support for your own network. Customers can schedule a support appointment and use an express replacement service in case of a defect.
With these additional services, the offering goes well beyond mere customer service. Fritz! supplements traditional support with personalized advice and analyses for specific needs.
Professional Plus Expands the Range of Services
The most comprehensive of the three Service Plus packages is called Professional Plus and costs 29.99 euros per month. This plan builds on the services of Professional and expands them in several areas. It includes six instead of three remote analyses. Additionally, Fritzbox owners have access to two projects with a system expert. The express replacement service is also part of the package. Unlike Professional, it can be used twice instead of just once.
Additionally, Fritz! supports customers via remote access during setup. After the support, a “Success Check” follows. This is intended to verify whether the system is operating reliably and whether the existing configuration can be further improved.
Thus, Fritz! enhances the Service Plus packages with features that go beyond problem analysis. The company also directly assists customers with setup if needed.

Who the Packages Are For
According to its own description, Fritz! targets the Service Plus packages particularly at freelancers, self-employed individuals, and private users with higher demands. The target group also includes anyone “who relies on a stable internet and network environment.” For these users, faster access to support can be helpful, especially if longer outages disrupt daily work. The additional services can also be relevant for more complex home networks or home offices.

The Service Plus packages are not only intended to assist with problems. The additional help can also save time when setting up new devices. Depending on the chosen plan, customers receive different support offerings. These include remote analyses, remote assistance, expert projects, and prioritized support processing.
For Many Users, Nothing Changes
Whether one of the Service Plus packages is worthwhile depends on personal needs. For most households, little is likely to change initially. The free customer service remains available. The knowledge database is also still accessible.
The paid offerings are therefore mainly relevant for users who regularly need quick or more extensive support. Those who rarely use such services should carefully consider whether to subscribe.
A benefit of all three Service Plus packages is flexibility. Basic, Professional, and Professional Plus can be canceled monthly, allowing for short-term adjustments to individual needs.
