Apple Music users will have to pay more in the future. Apple has increased the prices for its streaming service in Germany. The changes affect all subscription tiers. Both individual subscriptions and the options for students and families will become more expensive. Anyone starting a new subscription or renewing an existing one will now pay more than before.
Apple Music Becomes More Expensive Across All Plans
For the Apple Music individual subscription, Apple will now charge 11.99 euros per month, up from the previous price of 10.99 euros. The annual subscription also costs more, rising from 109 euros to 119 euros. Students will pay 6.99 euros per month instead of the previous 5.99 euros.
The most significant adjustment is for the family subscription. The price increases from 16.99 euros to 19.99 euros per month, making the plan nearly 18 percent more expensive. Apple cited increased licensing costs, which it passes on to its users, as the reason for the hike, according to the online magazine “9to5Mac.”
Apple One Remains Unchanged for Now
Those using multiple Apple services through Apple One can breathe a sigh of relief for now. In Germany, the prices for the bundle remain stable for the time being. The package for individuals still costs 19.95 euros per month. The family option remains at 25.95 euros.
However, further adjustments are not entirely ruled out. In the U.S., Apple has already increased prices for some Apple One plans. Therefore, it is conceivable that similar changes may follow in other markets sooner or later.

Initial Price Increases for iCloud+
Not only music subscribers are affected by higher costs. In several countries, Apple is currently raising prices for iCloud+. These include Turkey, Japan, New Zealand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
The price increases vary depending on the plan and range from 11 to 55 percent. There are currently no changes in Germany. However, the trend shows that Apple is reassessing its services worldwide and could adjust prices.

Why Are Cloud Services Becoming More Expensive?
Apple has not yet provided official reasons for the higher iCloud+ prices. Observers speculate that currency effects and rising costs in data storage may play a role. Additionally, there is a high global demand for storage solutions. Applications related to artificial intelligence, in particular, require enormous capacities in data centers.
It is currently unclear if and when Apple will increase iCloud+ prices in Germany. However, the price increase for Apple Music is already set. Those who wish to continue using the streaming service will have to dig a little deeper into their pockets.
