Amazon can’t seem to satisfy anyone with its AI features at the moment. Particularly with its own streaming service, numerous fans have expressed negative opinions about certain features in recent weeks. Now, the new AI-generated summaries on Prime Video have come under fire.
AI Summaries on Prime Video Annoy Fans
Amazon aims to offer new usage possibilities quickly and easily with the help of artificial intelligence. However, their implementations leave much to be desired. After the online retail giant already caused a stir among fans with AI-generated dubbing tracks, the AI summaries on Prime Video are now also facing criticism.
AI-generated recaps are intended to provide series fans with a brief and clear overview of the events from the previous season before watching a new one. However, as reported by outlets such as “The Verge,” fans of “Fallout” have noticed several factual errors in the summary.
“Fallout” Summary with Errors
The AI, for instance, claims that the ghoul’s flashbacks take place in the 1950s, which is incorrect. There are also inaccuracies present. For example, the statement “Cooper offers Lucy a choice in the finale: die or join him” is not only imprecise but downright misleading, as one X user writes:

While users have primarily discovered the errors in “Fallout,” according to the report, the AI summaries on Prime Video have also disappeared for “The Rig,” “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan,” “Upload,” and “Bosch.” Furthermore, it was initially a test project by Amazon. It is unclear whether this is just a temporary removal or if the company is scrapping the initiative entirely. So far, they have only been available in the U.S.
