While the world continues to heatedly debate the dangers of artificial intelligence, the company Particle6 and their AI creation Tilly Norwood are steadily advancing toward prominence. The next step on the digital career ladder toward real relevance: Talking Tilly, who will be available for public conversations for a short period.
Tilly Norwood Becomes Talking Tilly
This is according to a new press release from Particle6, who are responsible for creating the AI actress. So far, she has only appeared in videos to illustrate her technically convincing performance–including a controversially received music video. A full-length feature film with her in the lead role is also planned.
Until now, the public has not been able to interact with her. This is about to change soon. According to Particle6, interested parties can interact with Tilly Norwood as Talking Tilly on her own homepage as part of a test from Wednesday, September 16, at 1 p.m. until Sunday, September 19, at 9 a.m.
There, you can register for a conversation via email. The whole event is being promoted as “Tilly’s Press Tour,” much like Hollywood stars do when promoting a new project.
This Is Not Allowed
These will not be mere chat conversations but interviews from face to digital face. Talking Tilly is supposed to see her conversation partners and respond to them, such as guessing their age or commenting on their outfit. There are no scripts and no pre-prepared answers.
Conversations about political and explicit topics, as well as overly intimate questions about her “private life,” are not expected to succeed. Particle6 emphasizes that Tilly Norwood as Talking Tilly will not be acting but only talking, as a different underlying technology is used for this.
She Can Also Speak German
Tilly Norwood is expected to speak about 30 languages as Talking Tilly. Upon inquiry from TECHBOOK, it was confirmed that she will also speak German. After the conversation, users receive a video download, also to share the conversation on social media.
Participation is allowed from age 18, and participants should ideally be in a quiet room, remain silent after a posed question, and not be more than a meter away from the screen. Videos are stored at Particle6 for 24 hours, and transcriptions of all conversations for 18 months.

Not for Free
Those interested in a conversation with Tilly Norwood as Talking Tilly must either keep it brief or pull out their credit card. Only the first two minutes are free, after which two options for extension are offered:
- 15 minutes for 15 euros
- 30 minutes for 26 euros
During this time, it should be possible to interrupt the conversation at any time and resume it later.
Internet Users React Negatively
It should come as no surprise that the announcement of Talking Tilly, to put it politely, is met with lukewarm reactions online. As with her music video and film announcement, sharp comments, such as on Reddit, were not long in coming.
“I hate her so much,” wrote one user on the discussion platform, expressing what many others think about the AI creation. Another added that whenever he sees something with this “abomination,” he rates the post poorly. There is also criticism of media and news portals that were allowed to have a conversation with Tilly in advance and described the experience in articles. For example, the renowned Hollywood insider magazine “Variety.” A user commented on this: “Why the hell is Variety interviewing an AI actress?”
Currently, it seems that critics of Tilly Norwood cannot be convinced otherwise.
