Series today are either canceled too soon or they decline in quality. Only the best manage to maintain their quality over a long period or end at the right moment. Sometimes, Hollywood creators use other methods. The popular Netflix series “Peaky Blinders” will soon have a continuation–as a film.
“Peaky Blinders” Film Coming in Spring 2026
“Peaky Blinders” was initially produced from 2013 to 2022. So far, the series has six seasons and 36 episodes. With “Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man,” a feature film is set to replace a seventh season. The film will be released on Netflix on March 20, 2026, according to a company announcement.
According to Netflix, “Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man” will also premiere in select theaters starting March 6, 2026. This is stated on the international poster, but not on the German one. TECHBOOK confirmed that the film will not be released in theaters in Germany.

What “Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man” Is About
The film picks up directly from the series and begins in 1940 in Birmingham during World War II. Tommy Shelby has since retired and put his past behind him. However, circumstances threaten not only his family but the entire country, forcing Tommy to reluctantly return from exile. He must confront his inner demons and decide whether to destroy his legacy for good.

Steven Knight, creator of the “Peaky Blinders” series, also wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation. Tom Harper directed the film, bringing extensive experience from the series. The cast is led by Oscar winner Cillian Murphy (“Oppenheimer”).

Whether the beloved characters Alfie Solomons and Arthur Shelby will return is still unclear. Both Paul Anderson and Tom Hardy have expressed their willingness in various interviews, only to later deny it. Fans of the two can remain hopeful.
