Netflix once made the binge format popular: releasing all episodes of a new series season at once and encouraging fans to watch them in the shortest time possible. However, recently, the industry leader has started to undermine this release model. Regarding “Bridgerton” Season 4 Part 2, this is currently causing discontent among fans.
Waiting too long for “Bridgerton” Season 4 Part 2
The current season of the popular romance series was also split by Netflix. The first part premiered on January 29, 2026, and “Bridgerton” Season 4 Part 2 will follow on February 26. There’s a whole month between the two releases, which is simply too long for many fans.
On the internet platform Reddit, for example, a person posted a contribution that not only captures this sentiment. They also said they are “losing interest” because of it. The new release strategy is “annoying” and doesn’t make sense. “Why lose momentum when you had such a strong start?”
But apparently, the accusation is that Netflix is only interested in making more money. People who subscribe just for “Bridgerton” would have to pay for another month, someone else responded.

Netflix Misses Perfect “Bridgerton” Timing
Sure, the real fans will watch “Bridgerton” Season 4 Part 2. Nevertheless, the post receives a lot of support, with nearly 9,000 upvotes and numerous comments. Other users feel the same way and find the wait “tiring.” As one user writes: “Part of me doesn’t even want to watch the second part out of sheer defiance.”
Additionally, Netflix missed the perfect timing: Valentine’s Day. Not releasing or continuing a series about various romances on this day is seen by some fans as a missed opportunity, as it would have been the right “marketing opportunity.”
What Happened Again?
And during the four-week wait, quite a few fans might simply forget what they saw in the first part. This, in turn, would mean they would have to watch it again, which would only benefit Netflix’s viewership numbers.
Due to the success, Netflix will likely feel encouraged to continue splitting future episodes. “Bridgerton” Seasons 5 and 6 are already confirmed. Fans can only hope that Netflix won’t split the episodes anymore or, if they do, at least shorten the time gap.
