Amazon is apparently working on a new generation of its Fire TV hardware. Initial images show a Fire TV Stick 4K that visually differs from its predecessors. The casing appears significantly more angular and largely dispenses with the previously typical curves. However, the basic form factor remains: The streaming stick will still connect directly to a TV’s HDMI port.

According to the tech portal WinFuture, the images originate from retail circles and emerged before an official unveiling. Technical specifications are not yet available. Therefore, it remains unclear what hardware Amazon will use and how significant the differences from the current model will be.

Remote Control Receives Several Updates

The visible changes to the remote control are considerably more extensive. Amazon has apparently fundamentally redesigned the layout. The button for the voice assistant Alexa moves to the upper right corner. However, the familiar direct access buttons for Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+ remain.

Several new control elements are also added. The images show additional buttons for favorites, settings, and switching between TV channels. Particularly striking is a backlit home button. According to current information, this could signal various functions or activities. However, it is still unclear what tasks the button will actually perform.

Unveiling Could Be Imminent

There are no official details yet on price, availability, or technical specifications. Consequently, it is not yet possible to determine how Amazon will position the new Fire TV Stick 4K within its streaming portfolio.

However, much suggests that the presentation will not be long in coming. Amazon already introduced numerous new hardware products at the end of September 2025. Therefore, it is expected that the next Fire TV generation could be officially announced in the coming days.
