The Redmi K series has been one of Xiaomi’s most important smartphone lines for years. In October 2025, the manufacturer introduced its latest high-end models, the Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max. The Redmi K90 Pro Max was launched in Europe under the name Poco F8 Ultra. Now, there are initial hints about the next generation of the series.
The trigger is a new entry from the well-known leaker “Digital Chat Station,” who published technical details about a previously unknown Xiaomi smartphone on Weibo. The source does not mention a specific name. However, the specifications mentioned could fit a potential Redmi K100, which might succeed the current K90 models.
Leak suggests significantly stronger features
According to the published information, Xiaomi is working on a smartphone with a flat screen and a refresh rate of up to 185 hertz. Compared to the Redmi K90, which offers a refresh rate of 120 hertz, this would be a significant increase.
For performance, the leak suggests the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 from Qualcomm will be responsible. The same processor is also expected to be used in the Xiaomi 17. This would place the rumored Redmi K100 on one of the most powerful platforms in Xiaomi’s portfolio.
The battery also stands out in the details. According to the information, Xiaomi might equip the device with an energy storage capacity of at least 8,000 milliampere-hours. Additionally, the smartphone is expected to support wireless charging of up to 50 watts.

According to the published information, the further features include a glass back, a metal frame, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. This means Xiaomi would be focusing on materials and technology typically found in the high-end segment.
Redmi K100 not yet confirmed
So far, Xiaomi has not officially announced the existence of a Redmi K100 series. Therefore, the information should be viewed with appropriate caution.
In the past, Digital Chat Station has repeatedly provided accurate information about new Xiaomi devices before their official unveiling. The information comes from a post by the leaker on Weibo.
