Throughout the day, the final version of iOS 27 will finally be released as a public update. Apple has made significant adjustments under the hood, speeding up AirDrop transfers, app launches, and photo loading in the library. Enhanced AI features for image editing, new child user accounts, and a redesigned camera app are also included. However, at the launch of the new iOS version, two features that Apple originally announced and tested in the beta are missing.
Automatic Help with Insecure Passwords
The Passwords app will soon be able to automatically correct compromised credentials. Even if users ignore the warning, Apple Intelligence checks saved passwords for Safari logins. The change occurs in the background, without users needing to manually adjust the password.
Originally, this feature was supposed to be available at the launch of iOS 27. Apple had already tested it during the beta phase, but apparently, further testing is necessary. The iOS 27 overview page currently notes that it will come with a future update.
The delay affects not only the iPhone. Apple also notes that for iPadOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate, the cross-platform feature will be available later.

Suggestions for Actions in Messages
The Messages app also won’t initially receive a promised new feature. Apple Intelligence is supposed to recognize the content of a conversation and suggest appropriate actions that can be executed with a tap.
For example, if a conversation partner requests a photo or the completion of a task, the Messages app recognizes this prompt. It then suggests an appropriate action with the designated app.
This feature was also included during the iOS 27 test phase and will now initially be available only for the Mail app. The fine print on the iOS 27 page states: “Suggestions in iMessage conversations will come with a future update.”

Release Date for iOS 27.1 Already Set
iOS 27 will be released today, September 14. The release date for iOS 27.1 is already set. The iPhone Duo will launch on October 23 with the update.
It is unclear whether the two unreleased features will be included with iOS 27.1. Apple has not provided a specific date for their introduction.
