The launch of the Galaxy S27 is still a long way off. However, there are already hints about what Samsung might be planning for its next smartphone generation. Particularly interesting are the alleged chip configuration, a privacy feature for the display, and the new camera design of the Galaxy S27 Ultra.
Not Every Galaxy S27 Will Have the Same Chip
Samsung might differentiate more with the processors. As the online magazine Notebookcheck reports, import and export documents mention details about a total of four devices. Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ are said to receive Samsung’s own Exynos 2700.
Things get interesting with the more expensive models. A Galaxy S27 Pro is mentioned to have the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. The Galaxy S27 Ultra might even feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. All four devices are expected to come with at least 12 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of storage.

Samsung Aims to Deter Prying Eyes
For the Galaxy S27 Pro and the S27 Ultra, an improved privacy display is also being discussed. This is according to a report from 9to5Google. The technology is intended to make certain content harder to discern when someone looks at the screen from the side, which can be useful on public transport like buses or trains.
At the same time, the display for the actual user is supposed to be brighter and easier to read. Samsung would thus be attempting to mitigate a typical drawback of such privacy screen technologies. Galaxy S27 and S27+ are not expected to have this feature.
Galaxy S27 Ultra Could Look Significantly Different
As reported by the magazine AndroidAuthority, another leak concerns the design. Alleged CAD data shows the Galaxy S27 Ultra with a raised camera plateau. The previously more separated camera rings would thus give way to a contiguous area.

There could be a technical reason for this. If the cameras move further up, it leaves more space below for magnetic Qi2 accessories. The leak shows a total of three cameras. However, it does not reveal what sensors and lenses Samsung plans to use.
It remains important to note that this information is based on unconfirmed leaks. Until Samsung officially presents the Galaxy S27, technical specifications and design may still change.
