Samsung is expanding its Galaxy devices with a new AI feature for web browsing. Websites can now be summarized directly–without the need for a separate app. This is made possible by the integration of Google’s AI model Gemini.

The new feature aims to make it easier to quickly grasp long articles or complex content. Instead of scrolling or copying text yourself, the AI creates a compact overview of the current page at the push of a button.

Summary at the Press of a Button

The feature can be accessed by pressing and holding the power button or via a special Gemini button. Then, the option “Summarize Page” appears. After a brief animation, a window opens with a compact summary of the website currently being viewed.

According to reports from “Android Central,” users can further delve into the AI summary, ask specific questions, or explore certain aspects in more detail. Supported platforms include Chrome, Custom Tabs, Google Discover, Google News, and regular search results.

Automatically Saved in Gemini History

On Galaxy devices, the system automatically saves the generated summaries in the Gemini chat history. This allows users to revisit or further process the content later. Previously, users had to manually copy the URL and paste it into the Gemini app.

As reported by “SamMobile,” the feature is also available on iOS and iPadOS. However, an official confirmation from Samsung is still pending.

Possible Launch with the Galaxy S26

Earlier this year, Samsung integrated a similar summarization feature into its own internet browser. In addition to website summaries, Google Gemini also assists with research, text formulation, and travel planning. With deeper integration, Samsung aims to further simplify access to AI features in everyday life.
