The series of leaks from internal iOS versions continues. We’ve already seen information about the upcoming iPad, AirTags 2, and a completely new Home Hub. Now, it continues with a range of features that Apple is working on, planned for iOS 26.4, iOS 27, and even iOS 28.
New Features in iOS 26.4
According to their own statements, “Macworld” has gained insight into pre-release versions of iOS. Although iOS 26.2 has just been released with numerous new features, the leak suggests that the subsequent update, iOS 26.4, will bring a series of additional innovations.
Finally, New Siri
A deeper integration of Apple Intelligence is being prepared for Siri. The voice assistant is expected to respond more naturally and be based on a new language model, with Google Gemini currently being a leading candidate.
Apple had already announced the new Siri in spring 2024 with iOS 18. With AI support, it was supposed to better understand natural language, provide answers based on users’ personal context, and even perform actions independently. However, aside from a demo video that Apple has since deleted, none of this has appeared so far. Apple’s own language model is reportedly not mature enough to support a revamped Siri. Therefore, the integration of Gemini is now planned to finally deliver the feature in spring 2026 with iOS 26.4.

New Health App
It has been known for some time that Apple plans to restructure the Health app. The pre-release version of iOS 26.4 contains numerous hints about the new design. These include a revamped layout for categories and simplified input options for metrics. The structure is intended to appear clearer and make usage easier.
In parallel, a paid extension called “Health+” is planned. This will offer access to an AI assistant that answers questions based on existing health data.
Autofill for Credit Card Data
According to “Macworld,” Apple is testing a feature that recognizes credit card data from third-party apps and offers to save it in the Passwords app. Conversely, users can then conveniently autofill the corresponding fields when paying in the browser.
Further Innovations in iOS 26.4
- The ability to create folders in the Freeform app.
- A dedicated sports section within the Apple TV app.
- New verification process that checks system integrity before logging into Apple services.
- Updates for AirPods, including ” Precise Outdoor Location” in the “Find My” app.
New Features in iOS 27 and iOS 28
For iOS 27, improvements in photo collections and a new pairing process for AirPods are planned. For iOS 28, Apple is planning additional sleep metrics for the Apple Watch and the introduction of the Health app on the Mac.
