WhatsApp is testing a new quiz feature that allows admins to create knowledge questions. This makes channels even more interactive and entertaining.
WhatsApp is continuously expanding its features. In recent months, a dedicated app for the Apple Watch and a translation feature for chats have been introduced. Now, the messenger is focusing on channels and testing a new feature designed to offer users an entertaining experience. Soon, you’ll be able to create a quiz on WhatsApp.
How a Quiz Will Work on WhatsApp
In the latest beta version for iOS and Android, WhatsApp has introduced a quiz feature for channels for the first time. According to “WABetainfo,” channel administrators can create knowledge questions and share them with their followers. The quiz is based on a simple principle: a question with multiple answer options. These answer options can also be supplemented with images, making the feature ideal for topics like sports, celebrities, or technology.
Difference from the Poll Feature
Although the quiz may initially resemble the poll feature, there is a key difference: With the quiz feature, the administrator must set the correct answer in advance. It is a knowledge test, not an opinion poll. Users who select the correct answer are rewarded with a confetti animation. Channel administrators also receive an analysis showing how often each answer was chosen.

The visibility of information for administrators depends on users’ privacy settings. In some cases, only the profile picture is visible, while the name and phone number remain hidden.
