Starting June 20, you can snag the JBL Vibe Beam at Aldi. The offer is available in Aldi stores and the discounter’s online shop. But is the deal really worth it, and how do the Bluetooth headphones perform? TECHBOOK checked it out.
The Bluetooth headphones from JBL are among the most popular on the market. It’s all the more pleasing when they are offered at a discount. Starting June 20, Aldi is offering the JBL Vibe Beam at 50 percent off. The suggested retail price is 79.99 euros. Thus, the 39.99 euros seem very tempting. What the headphones can do and whether the offer is really worth it, you will find out below.
What the JBL Vibe Beam Can Do
The JBL Vibe Beam are true wireless in-ear headphones that come with a JBL-typical charging case. The model is available in black and white. The package also includes a USB-C cable, ear tips in three different sizes, and the user manual.
Now to the specifications: According to the manufacturer, the headphones offer the “JBL Deep Bass Sound,” which is supposed to ensure a rich and harmonious sound. This is produced by 8-millimeter drivers. The battery life of around 32 hours is also impressive. More specifically, the headphones run for about eight hours on a full charge, and the charging case provides an additional 24 hours of battery life. The charging time is about two hours with a dead battery. This isn’t particularly fast, but it’s acceptable for this price range. However, it’s worth mentioning that a quick charge function is integrated. This allows for about two additional hours of playtime with just ten minutes of charging, which is especially handy if you want to quickly listen to music again and have little time to charge. It’s also practical that the charging case has three integrated LEDs that indicate how full (or empty) the case’s battery is.
The headphones also have an IP54 certification, making them water and dust resistant. The frequency range is 20 to 20,000 hertz, and the impedance is 16 ohms. The Bluetooth version is 5.2, which, while not the latest, still ensures a decent or acceptable transmission speed. A downside is the lack of noise canceling, which is hardly found in this price range anyway.

Is the Offer Worth It?
The answer can be summed up with a “Yes.” The offer at Aldi is definitely recommended. On one hand, JBL headphones are always known for good sound and rich audio, and on the other hand, the specifications for a model in this price range are very good. The lack of noise canceling is, of course, not ideal, but for a model around 40 euros, you can’t expect that. Overall, this is a worthwhile and lucrative offer, especially since the headphones are offered at the best price according to Idealo.
Interesting fact: The JBL Vibe Beam is not found on the official JBL Germany website. This is because the headphones are actually called “JBL Wave Beam” for the German market. The Vibe Beam, however, is available on the U.S. JBL site, for example. The two models are completely identical in construction. This is evidenced, among other things, by the declaration of conformity, which includes both names for the product. TECHBOOK therefore asked Aldi why the headphones are sold here as Vibe Beam and received the following response:

For bargain hunters, an additional tip: The JBL headphones are available from June 20 for 39.99 euros. However, this only applies to in-store purchases. If you order the in-ear headphones from the online shop, you have to pay an additional 5.95 euros for shipping. So the total cost is 45.94 euros.
