These days, “Fallout” is launching on Amazon Prime Video as the new major series highlight for streaming. The signs already point to a mega-success–TECHBOOK explains why.
Every month, various streaming services release numerous new films and series exclusively for paying customers. While this variety caters to different tastes, the quality of the projects can vary greatly. However, with “Fallout” on Amazon Prime Video, one of the biggest premieres of the year is emerging, and it’s coming out a bit earlier than originally planned.
“Fallout” Series on Amazon Prime Video Arriving Early
Whenever a new streaming highlight is on the horizon, the question of the exact release date is one of the most important for interested viewers. In this context, there is some good news regarding the “Fallout” series on Amazon Prime Video.
As the U.S. industry magazine Variety cites the online retailer, the decision-makers have moved the release date for the title slightly forward. Originally planned for April 12, 2024, for the U.S. market (and thus April 13 here due to the time difference), it was changed to April 11. Now, it has even been moved to April 10.
For fans in Germany, this means “Fallout” will be available from 3 a.m. on April 11.

‘Fallout’ Series—Season 3 Already Confirmed
“Fallout” Could Become a Series Masterpiece for Amazon Prime Video
Will it be worth tuning in? At least an initial success in terms of viewership numbers seems assured. “Fallout” is an adaptation of the video game series of the same name, which has existed since 1997 and has gathered a large audience of millions. Fans of the games will surely tune in.
But even those who are not yet familiar with the original but are interested in blockbuster-style entertainment in a sci-fi setting will certainly get their money’s worth. The creators behind the scenes ensure this: Jonathan Nolan (brother of director Christopher Nolan) and Lisa Joy have already made “Westworld” one of the best series of recent years as a team.

The duo is well-versed in dark future visions with the necessary complexity. Stars like Ella Purnell (“Yellowstone”), Walton Goggins (“The Hateful Eight”), or Kyle McLachlan (“Twin Peaks”) have worked with renowned directors from the series world like Clare Kilner (“House of The Dragon”) or Frederick E. O. Toye (“The Boys”). And the visual spectacle is already ensured by Amazon’s funding.
According to initial impressions within the film and series industry, which TECHBOOK has picked up, the first episodes of “Fallout” suggest a real hit.
Season 2 Already Confirmed
By the way, even before the official start of “Fallout” on Amazon Prime Video, it has become known that a second season is almost certain. This is according to a report from Deadline. The production is receiving financial support from the state of California to move the filming location there. Season 2 is expected to have a budget of about 154 million U.S. dollars.
The “Fallout” series is set in the year 2077. A nuclear war has largely destroyed the U.S., and the few survivors found refuge in so-called “Vaults”–nuclear bunkers where they built a new community. However, criminals and mutated monsters rule the surface. During this time, Lucy (Purnell) leaves her bunker for the first time to embark on a dangerous mission.
