Major cuts at Netflix. The streaming giant releases numerous new series each month, some of which run longer while others disappear after just one season. The company has now announced the end of three titles in quick succession. Fans should prepare for “Emily in Paris,” “Lincoln Lawyer,” and “The Night Agent” not to continue on Netflix.
“Emily in Paris” to End After Season 6
The biggest and most recent news shock concerns the Netflix hit “Emily in Paris.” As reported by the U.S. industry magazine “The Hollywood Reporter,” the escapades of the title character (played by Lily Collins) will conclude with the upcoming sixth season.
There are no detailed explanations for the specific reasons. It’s possible that the previous success doesn’t justify the production costs. However, “Emily in Paris” is among the most well-known Netflix series of recent years. A purely narrative reason is also plausible, as Emily returns to Paris from Rome at the end of the fifth season. The sixth season could simply bring the story to a fitting conclusion.
“Lincoln Lawyer” and “The Night Agent” Also Ending
Netflix is also drawing a line under “Lincoln Lawyer” and “The Night Agent.” The former series is still in production for its fifth season, which will also be its last, as reported by “Variety.” Series creator Ted Humphrey stated that they always intended to give the story a proper ending. The series’ conclusion seems to have been planned from the start.

The same goes for “The Night Agent,” which will be on its final mission with the fourth season. Series creator Shawn Ryan also emphasized that he had been thinking of a fitting and exciting ending since the series’ initial success. Premiere dates for the final seasons have not yet been set.
