A group of space figurines comes together and must complete various tasks. But one by one, they are murdered–someone is the killer in disguise! But who? Participants in the video game “Among Us” must figure this out through group discussions. Now, a series based on the game has premiered on Paramount+.
“Among Us” on Paramount+ without Prior Announcement
It had been known for years that a series based on “Among Us” was in the works. But as the U.S. industry magazine “Variety” reports, there have been no updates on the project since production wrapped in 2024. Not even a trailer or a release date was announced in advance.

Stars for “Among Us” at the Microphone
“Among Us” is an animated series. All ten episodes have been released at once, and the storyline closely follows the game’s premise: The multicolored crew of a spaceship is murdered one by one. Together, the survivors try to identify the enemy among them. Easier said than done when the group consists of misfits.
The voice cast is highly prominent and includes Elijah Wood (“The Lord of the Rings” trilogy), Randall Park (“WandaVision”), and Ashley Johnson (“The Last of Us” games). The series creator is Owen Dennis (“Infinity Train”).
“Among Us” saw its greatest success during the coronavirus crisis. At its peak, up to 500 million people worldwide played monthly. On YouTube, videos about the game garnered over 4 billion views, and it ranked No. 1 in 55 countries on the Apple App Store and in 66 countries on Google Play.
