Everyone has different preferences when it comes to sleep: temperature, blanket, pillow, position. At least one problem is what the crowdfunding project Smartduvet aims to solve–with a climate-controlled duvet.
Some like it nice and warm, while others prefer to skip the blanket altogether. Especially on hot summer nights, many never find the right temperature in bed. A smart, climate-controlled duvet is now supposed to solve this problem. The temperature control can even be set for two zones, so the partner’s preferred temperature can also be considered.
The project “Smartduvet” is currently being funded through the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. But temperature isn’t everything: Airflow allows the duvet to spread itself out again after getting up.

Smartduvet cools and heats each side of the bed separately
Behind the smart duvet is an additional layer placed between the filling and the cover. This contains air chambers through which the climate-controlled air can be directed into the respective duvet. A large air supply ensures that the duvet spreads out evenly on the bed.
The “Smartduvet Breeze” is controlled with a compatible app. The project is currently still in the funding phase. However, ten days before the end, the project has already been funded more than 24 times. Interested parties can pre-order the smart duvet for approximately 200 euros. In retail, the duvet is expected to cost around 350 euros.
