The Sparkasse has updated its banking app. While this update is currently only available to iPhone users, it brings several important and practical improvements. TECHBOOK explains exactly what these are.
For some applications, regular updates are particularly important. Not only to keep security up to date but also to expand functionality. The current update of the Sparkasse app is quite extensive in this regard, as it introduces several new features.
Update for Sparkasse App Brings Better Financial Overview
The update to version 6.4.2 is now available for download on iOS devices. Bank customers can now customize the homepage of the Sparkasse app to display the most relevant information clearly.
In the future, transactions and transfers can be better managed through the app. Existing templates can now be searched, saving time. Additionally, Sparkasse customers can see a better overview of their income and expenses and categorize their transactions. Transactions don’t necessarily have to occur through a Sparkasse account. They can now also be displayed from a PayPal or N26 account in the app. This aims to consolidate all important finances into one app.
Also new is the account balance forecast. It allows unposted account movements to be displayed, giving customers a better real-time view of their account balance. The Sparkasse has also introduced the return of direct debits. Unauthorized debits can be reversed via the online account for a long time, but this function was not available in the app until now. With the update, Sparkasse customers can now dispute a debit directly on their smartphone and instruct the bank to reverse the corresponding amount.
Mobile Banking Is Becoming Increasingly Important
The range of functions that the Sparkasse app update brings once again shows how important mobile banking has become for various financial institutions. In times when Sparkasse and banks in Germany are closing more and more branches, many customers are now reliant on online banking. Many even use only their smartphone, where the demand for a comprehensive range of functions continues to grow.
