Microsoft is reportedly working on a new generation of Copilot. According to the online magazine “Gizmodo,” the company is working on a comprehensive Copilot app that aims to merge private and professional application areas. Although a specific date was not mentioned, the launch is expected in the third quarter of 2026.
Chatbot, Coding Assistant, and AI Agents in One App
The planned application is set to combine several previously separate tools. These include the classic AI chatbot, the Copilot for developers, and autonomous AI agents that can perform tasks independently.
Users will be able to switch between private and business profiles within the application. Depending on the context, different data sources, permissions, and functions will be utilized. Microsoft aims to establish Copilot as a central hub for as many work and everyday scenarios as possible.
