Apple may be planning an event in October 2025. We expect the next generation of the iPad Pro with the new M5 chip, and the MacBook Pro might also get a successor. Additionally, a revised version of the Apple Vision Pro with a new chip is on the horizon.
TECHBOOK already reported in January on the products Apple has in the pipeline for 2025. With the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air now released, the list is shorter, but a few items are still pending. Insiders speculate about an Apple event in October 2025, which is likely to be packed with these new devices. “MacRumors” points out that Apple has held major events in October in previous years.
Possible New MacBook Models
In his well-known Bloomberg newsletter, Apple expert Mark Gurman writes that new MacBook Pros with 14 and 16 inches and an M5 chip could appear this year. Typically, Apple unveils such devices at an event in October.
A successor for the MacBook Air is also in the pipeline, but it is expected to be released in spring 2026. Apple might also delay the launch of the MacBook Pros to the same date next year.

New iPad Pro Variants with M5 Chip
New iPad Pro models with the M5 chip could also be presented in October. Speculation about this has been around for a long time. Since the M4 chip also debuted in an iPad Pro, unveiling new iPad Pro models seems plausible.
Additionally, a new version of the Apple Vision Pro with an M4 or M5 chip is expected. This cyber headset is anticipated to become more attractive with a faster processor and more Apple Intelligence features.
Other Possible Hardware Announcements
Mark Gurman also speculates about minor hardware revisions. A new version of Apple TV with an A17 Pro chip, an N1 network chip, and an integrated FaceTime camera could be introduced. The HomePod mini might also be equipped with a new chip to prepare for the AI-Siri, launching in 2026.
Optimized AirTags with greater range and better speakers are also being discussed. Which of these products Apple will actually present in the fall remains to be seen.
