Billions of people worldwide use WhatsApp daily for communication. They have access to many useful features that have been added over the years–and more are on the way. A few years after the initial announcement, it will soon finally be possible to schedule messages on WhatsApp. Users will have several options for this.
WhatsApp Message Scheduling Now in Beta
As early as 2024, WhatsApp chief Will Cathcart announced that he had received multiple requests from users to be able to schedule messages on WhatsApp. Now, the release of this feature is within reach.
As reported by “WABetaInfo,” it is currently in beta testing. Users who have been granted access will gradually be able to set their messages in advance so that they are sent automatically at the scheduled time. However, when the feature will be available to the general public is still unknown.

Scheduled Messages Could Revolutionize WhatsApp Use
Schedule Up to 2 Weeks in Advance
When the time comes, users can look forward to various scheduling options. Essentially, you will only need to hold down the send button briefly to then select when the message should be sent to the recipient.
You will be able to choose time frames between ten minutes and two weeks. Once a message is scheduled, a field will appear in the chat information window (by clicking on the conversation partner’s username) to subsequently edit or simply delete the scheduled messages.
Only One Photo and Video at a Time
As it stands, the feature also supports photos and videos. However, you can currently only schedule one medium at a time. So if you want to send multiple photos and videos this way, you will likely have to repeat the process for each one.
Also interesting: WhatsApp no longer works on these smartphones
People who receive a scheduled WhatsApp message will never know they received one. The feature is also interesting within group chats: It will be included there as well. However, only those who were already group members at the time of scheduling will receive a message. Anyone who joins a group after scheduling but before sending will not receive the message. This ensures that you do not share information with previously unknown individuals.
The current beta test is initially only for Android users. When iOS users will be able to schedule WhatsApp messages is not yet known.
