Those who enjoy sending WhatsApp voice messages will soon have a new option to do so. This feature will make the process even easier and more convenient.
There are now various ways to communicate with each other. Special messaging apps like Signal or Telegram are particularly popular, offering a wide range of features. However, WhatsApp remains the leader. The Meta product also impresses with numerous features and is constantly being developed. Now, a new update is on the horizon that will especially please fans of WhatsApp voice messages.
The Current State of WhatsApp Voice Messages
The popular app offers classic text messages or the option to start a video call directly. As a popular alternative, you can also send WhatsApp voice messages. After all, speaking is easier than typing, and hearing the other person’s voice has its own charm.
Currently, there are two ways to send voice memos. You can either press the microphone icon in the chat and hold it down while speaking or if it takes a bit longer, you can press the icon and swipe up to activate a lock. This allows the recording to continue while you move your hands freely. But this is about to change, as reported by “WABetaInfo.”

Easier Recording Thanks to Update
Meta is currently rolling out a small but significant update to selected beta testers. They now have the ability to send WhatsApp voice messages even more easily than before. The update allows users to activate the lock with just a single tap on the microphone icon.
This eliminates both holding down for normal activation of the recording and swiping up for the lock. With two fewer gestures, the entire process is subtly simplified and made more intuitive.
Currently, the new feature is only available in the beta version 25.13.10.70 for iOS. It is not yet known when Android users will also enjoy the easier recording of WhatsApp voice messages. It is also uncertain when the feature will be released for everyone. Since it is currently being tested, it may take a while.
