There has been much speculation about the future of OnePlus in recent months. In January 2026, reports emerged suggesting that the Chinese manufacturer might be on the brink of closure. Even three months later, there is still no definitive clarity on the matter.
Recently, there has only been talk of a possible withdrawal from Europe and the U.S. However, there is no clear statement from OnePlus on this. At the same time, there are significant indications that contradict the assumption that the company is facing closure. In mid-April 2026, OnePlus had already hinted at a new tablet for India. Now there are hints of another new product.
Listing on Google
This time it’s about the OnePlus Watch 4. Initial traces of the watch were already visible on the messaging service X. According to xpertpick.com, the model now also appears in a developer database from Google. Several technical details are listed there. However, those hoping for a significant leap compared to the OnePlus Watch 3 might be somewhat disappointed by this data.
According to the report, the watch once again uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 1. The RAM also remains at 2 gigabytes. Interested parties will apparently have to do without the newer Qualcomm chipset Snapdragon Wear Elite, according to the information known so far. Thus, no major change in computing power is evident.

Close Ties to Oppo Stand Out
Not only with the chip, but also with the display, little is expected to change. Specifications such as a resolution of 466 × 466 pixels, 320 dpi, and 1.5 inches are mentioned again. Thus, the technical equipment is very similar to that of the OnePlus Watch 3 in several respects. The listing does not yet suggest a fundamentally new model.
According to the report, the watch also strongly resembles Oppo’s Watch X3, which is being released in Europe these days. Oppo is the parent company of OnePlus. Therefore, it is possible that both devices are essentially identical and only marketed under different names. However, this has not been confirmed so far.

Price and Launch Still Uncertain
Several important points remain unresolved. Neither a price nor a release date for the OnePlus Watch 4 is currently known. The Oppo Watch X3 costs 379 euros in Germany. Whether this provides any indication for the OnePlus Watch 4 is not clear from the report. It also remains unclear whether the watch will even be released in Europe or is intended solely for the Asian market. OnePlus now seems to be focusing more on this region.
