Amazon Restricts Return Deadlines
For a long time, Amazon was considered the model for customer service, offering hassle-free exchanges and free returns with a 30-day deadline. But starting in April, the online retailer is making some changes. And in this case, new means worse for customers. Amazon is reducing the previous 30-day return period to the legally mandated minimum of 14 days.
The new regulation, effective April 25, affects product categories such as electronics, cameras, office supplies, music, movies, and video games. However, Amazon’s own devices and refurbished devices are exempt.
Deutschlandticket in DB Streckenagent
Deutsche Bahn has announced that the “DB Streckenagent” app will be discontinued on May 2. Therefore, in April, all those who have subscribed to their Deutschlandticket through the app must take action. Due to technical reasons, it cannot be transferred to another app like the DB Navigator and will end at the end of the month. To continue using the Deutschlandticket beyond April, the ticket must be purchased through another channel.

Changes for Consumers in May
New Regulation for Cameras in Airbnbs
There are already strict regulations on which areas of public spaces cameras can cover. In private spaces, it has been different until now. However, security cameras in Airbnbs have long been a problem, as it is not always clear to vacationers where and what their hosts are filming. For this reason, the rules for the use of cameras in Airbnbs were tightened on April 30.
From this period, cameras are no longer allowed indoors. Outdoor areas may only be filmed if it serves security purposes–such as at the entrance. However, hosts must disclose exactly where cameras are installed.
Nintendo Cuts Important Online Features
Gradually, Nintendo is phasing out services for the 3DS and Wii U. In March 2023, the company already shut down the eShop for 2DS/3DS and Wii U software. On April 8, 2024, online services such as online gaming, online co-op modes, leaderboards, and data distribution will also end. However, offline usable features are not affected by the shutdown.
