Apple has released iOS 10.3 for iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch. We explain what the new operating system update brings. Among other things: new features for Siri, CarPlay, and the ability to locate lost AirPod headphones.
Apple is rolling out a major software update for its iOS family. Included is a helpful feature for the AirPods. The new version iOS 10.3 is currently being distributed to all iPads and iPhones worldwide.
What’s New in iOS 10.3
- Rented iTunes movies can now be watched on all devices, not just the one where it was rented.
- In the “Find My iPhone” app, you can now play an alert tone on your AirPods to locate them more easily.
- With Siri, you can now order an Uber driver in various countries. In Germany, ordering via “MyTaxi” has been possible for some time.
- Apple CarPlay receives several improvements:
- Recently used apps appear in the status bar.
- You can access the album of the current song.
- Podcasts can now be shared and played directly in iMessage.
- Siri now provides scores for the Indian Premier League and various cricket tournaments.
- In cooperation with some manufacturers, Siri can even tell you your car’s fuel level or lock and unlock the car.
