When smartphone manufacturers unveil their new flagship models each year, the built-in cameras are always among the most important components. The race for the most megapixels (MP) and the strongest zoom is still alive. However, according to a new leak, it might already be decided for 2026 because of the Oppo Find X9 Ultra.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra to Offer Particularly Strong Cameras
At least that’s according to a new report from “Android Authority.” The reliable leaker “Digital Chat Station” is said to have released initial camera specs for the upcoming Oppo Find X9 Ultra on the Chinese platform Weibo. And these read like a dream come true for smartphone camera fans.
According to the details, the device is expected to hit the market with a 10x 50-MP periscope camera. While other smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra already have 10x zoom, it would be the first camera of its kind with a 50-MP sensor. The corresponding lens is said to enable both a native 230-mm and a “high-quality” 460-mm focal length.
The latter value likely refers to a lossless zoom, as Oppo could crop the 12.5 MP at the center of the 50-MP sensor to ensure a 20x magnified image.
200-MP Double Feature Also Included
Additionally, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is expected to shine with two 200-MP cameras. The main camera is said to come with a “super-large” sensor that can capture more light than previous one-inch sensors. The other 200-MP camera is expected to be a telephoto camera with a medium zoom level (presumably 3x or 4x). Its light capture is said to be the best in its class.
Furthermore, the manufacturer might rely on a powerful LYT-901 sensor for the 200-MP cameras, a development by Sony. This would mean forgoing Samsung’s Isocell HP5, the smallest 200-MP sensor currently available.

Competitors like Samsung and Apple will certainly have to step up their game. And as “Android Authority” also notes, unlike previous Ultra models, it might be released internationally.
