OnePlus was long considered a hidden gem among Android fans. But now it’s the end: The smartphone brand is withdrawing from Europe and the U.S.
No More New OnePlus Products for Europe
OnePlus has officially confirmed that following a strategic reassessment, the company will no longer introduce new products in Europe and North America. This marks the end of the launch of new smartphones and other devices in these regions. The manufacturer does not detail the reasons for this decision, instead pointing to the results of a comprehensive internal evaluation.
For existing users, however, nothing is expected to change initially. OnePlus emphasizes that all commitments to its customers will remain. This includes customer service, software updates, and the provision of security patches. Those who already own a OnePlus smartphone will continue to receive updates and have access to the usual support.

Oppo Realigns Brand Strategy
At the same time, parent company Oppo has commented on the changes. According to them, this move is part of a broader international realignment. The goal is to use resources more efficiently and better align the global product strategy.
For Europe, Oppo sees its position as stable. The company points to continued growth in the premium segment and emphasizes that business on the continent will continue unchanged. Oppo also promises to continue supporting OnePlus customers in Europe and to ensure the usual service.
What the Decision Means for Users
According to the company, there is no immediate action required for current OnePlus device owners. Software updates, security patches, and customer service will continue as promised. However, it remains unclear how long OnePlus will remain as a standalone brand in Europe if no new products are released.
It is also notable that Oppo explicitly invites former OnePlus users to consider its own brand’s devices in the future. This suggests that the company may focus more on Oppo going forward. For the European smartphone market, OnePlus’s withdrawal represents another shift–especially in the highly competitive premium and upper mid-range segments.
