For the iPhone 14, battery replacement through Apple service is already significantly more expensive than for its predecessors. But now the company is also raising prices for older models.
The battery service for the iPhone 14 costs 119 euros–almost 60 percent more expensive than for older iPhone models. But now Apple is adjusting the prices for all supported devices before the iPhone 14 as well.
New Prices Effective March
On its support page, Apple announces under the cost estimate box that the prices for iPhone battery replacement will change starting March 2023. Accordingly, “the fee for out-of-warranty battery service for all iPhone models before the iPhone 14 will increase by 24 euros.”
So far, battery replacement for models iPhone X to iPhone 13 costs 74.99 euros. For models iPhone 6 to 8, Apple charges 55 euros. The new price structure is as follows:
- 98.99 euros for battery replacement for iPhone X, Xs (Max), Xr; 11, 11 Pro (Max); 12 (mini), 12 Pro (Max); 13 (mini), 13 Pro (Max)

Prices Also Rising for iPads and MacBooks
Not only older iPhone models are affected by higher fees for battery replacement, but also iPads and MacBooks out of warranty.
Apple is increasing the service prices for all MacBook Air models by 36 euros and all MacBook and MacBook Pro models by 60 euros. For the current MacBook Air with M2, the costs rise from 149 to 185 euros. For the current MacBook Pro models (13-inch, 14-inch, and 16-inch), 289 euros are now due instead of the previous 229 euros.
For current iPad models, Apple has already made battery replacement significantly more expensive, similar to the iPhone 14. The service for the iPad Pro 12.9-inch 6th generation with M2 costs a full 219 euros, while it was only 109 euros for its predecessor. But now prices are rising here as well. Battery replacement for models iPad Pro 12.9 (5th generation and older), iPad Pro 11 (3rd generation and older), iPad Pro 10.5, iPad Pro 9.7, iPad mini (6th generation and older), and iPad Air (5th generation and older) will soon cost 40 euros more.
The new prices are effective from March 2023.
