In this series, TECHBOOK presents the best iPhone hacks and tricks–with video and detailed instructions.
The iPhone has undergone a long development history since its launch in 2007. Over the years, Apple has continually expanded the iOS operating system, often adding small and large, sometimes well-hidden features. In the “iPhone Hacks” series, TECHBOOK showcases the best and most practical of these features.
In Part 3, we show you how to protect individual notes on the iPhone with a password.
How It Works
1. Open Settings and navigate to Notes
2. Select the Password option and enter the password and password confirmation in the prompt–also decide if Face ID should be enabled to view the notes
3. Click Done, ignore the suggestion that a password hint is recommended, and then click Done again
4. Go to the Notes app and press and hold the note with the photo(s)
6. Choose the Lock Note option from the drop-down menu
7. Enter the password and confirm with OK
8. The note and its content preview are now locked and can only be opened with the password or Face ID
