After bending comes breaking–this is true for cables as well. However, you can prevent cable breakage with an old ballpoint pen. TECHBOOK shows you how.
Does your charging cable look like the one in the photo after a few months? Then the ballpoint pen trick can help prevent cable breakage.
For this tech hack, you need:
- a ballpoint pen
- the charging cable
Step 1: Disassemble the Ballpoint Pen
Open the ballpoint pen. What we need for the tech hack is the spring.
Step 2: Wrap the Spring Around the Cable
Now wrap the ballpoint pen’s spring around the end of the cable.
Step 3: Done!
With the spring, your cable remains flexible but doesn’t break as easily at the usual spots.
