Samsung is updating its older TV models and bringing the new version of the Daily Board to devices like the S90C OLED. At the same time, the electronics company plans to integrate Google Photos into its future TV models.
Samsung is reimagining the living room—focusing more than ever on personal content. With a surprising update, the company is bringing new comfort features to older TVs. At the same time, a close integration with Google is on the horizon, which will bring photos and memories directly to the TV screen. A closer look at Samsung’s plans reveals what’s behind this, which devices will benefit, and how the TV experience will change.
New Daily Board on Older Samsung TVs
Samsung is increasingly equipping older TV models with the updated Daily Board. The feature, which is activated when the screen is off through motion detection or voice assistants like Bixby or Alexa, displays useful information such as weather data, notes, and the status of SmartThings devices. While Samsung’s newer TVs from 2025 already come standard with the new version, the revamped Daily Board is now also appearing on older devices like the S90C OLED.
Notable are the redesigned glass-like widgets and the clearer structure for the “Widgets,” “Wallpapers,” and “Settings” tabs. New widgets and wallpapers are also available. According to “SamMobile,” the new interface was installed as a silent background service without an operating system update.
The update has already been observed on devices in India, with more regions and models to follow.
Samsung Integrates Google Photos into TV Devices
Additionally, Samsung announced a deeper integration of Google Photos into its upcoming AI TV models. The goal is to provide users with an emotional and visual way to rediscover personal memories on the big screen.
The integration allows users to access photos and videos directly on the TV through their Google account. Additionally, features like “Memories” will be exclusively available on Samsung TVs starting in March 2026, showcasing curated stories by people, places, or events.
Other planned features like “Create with AI” or “Personalized Results” are set to follow throughout the year. AI technologies such as Google’s image generator Nano Banana will be used to create videos from photos or change the style of images. A supported Samsung TV model with an updated operating system and an active Google account with saved photos and videos is required.
