“Tomb Raider” is one of the most well-known video game series–not least because of the various film adaptations. Now, the original trilogy is set to be re-released for PC and console.
We tend to romanticize things from the past, especially when we associate them with fond memories. Video games are no exception. Roaming through the Tamriel of the first “Elder Scrolls” games, exploring a mysterious mansion as Jill Valentine or Chris Redfield, or searching for treasures as Lara Croft once more. Often, reality consists of clunky controls and graphics that are outdated by today’s standards. But there’s good news for “Tomb Raider” fans: Crystal Dynamics is planning a remaster of the first three “Tomb Raider” games. What is known about the re-release so far?

The entire game’s graphics are set to be overhauled. However, adjustments to the gameplay are not yet known, as Crystal Dynamics remains tight-lipped on this aspect. The studio is responsible for the newer parts of the series after the original studio, Core Design, was closed.
