Nintendo Warns of Excessive Heat

In a post on X, the Japanese console manufacturer points out the potential problems caused by excessive heat with the Nintendo Switch. They advise using the console only within the specified operating temperature and ensuring that no openings on the device are blocked. This is the only way to ensure that the Nintendo Switch is well-ventilated in hot conditions. These warnings should be taken seriously, as summer temperatures in Germany can often exceed 86 degrees.

The first and second generation Switch consoles are hybrid devices, while the Switch Lite is a handheld. It’s not uncommon for players to use the Nintendo Switch in the park in the heat, by the lake in the sun, or in the garden. However, caution is advised, as direct sunlight can lead to heat buildup.
