A few weeks before the release of “Grand Theft Auto 6,” the situation is escalating for Rockstar Games. A hacker group is threatening to release the entire game before the official launch on November 19.
The hacker group CyberLeek plans to release a playable version of “GTA 6,” including the story mode and credits. They have made several demands to Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive: the company should release a physical disc version of the game and issue a public apology. Otherwise, the game will be released online prematurely.

The threat is also linked to a memecoin promoted by CyberLeek. If it reaches a market capitalization of $30 million, the group also plans to release “GTA 6.” After the demands became known, the coin’s market capitalization reportedly rose from $3.8 million to $5.7 million. CyberLeek claims this is to raise money for “operational costs.”
Already 24 Minutes of GTA 6 Released
The group had previously released about 24 minutes of gameplay material. This included cutscenes, plot details, and footage of a first-person camera mode. CyberLeek claims to have access to extensive material from the yet-to-be-released game.
Take-Two is now taking legal action against the leaks. The company has filed subpoenas against Microsoft, Discord, and X to identify the alleged copyright violators. Take-Two describes the leaked content as “unauthorized reproduction and public distribution of our copyrighted work.”
Rockstar Responds to the GTA 6 Leaks
Rockstar Games expressed disappointment over the prematurely released content. This is “obviously not the way we wanted players to see the game after all this time.” The team also described the situation as “heartbreaking” and asked for patience until the official release.
“GTA 6” is set to be released exclusively digitally on November 19. The lack of a disc version has drawn criticism from fans of physical games and is among CyberLeek’s demands. Pre-order customers will be able to download the game starting November 12, ahead of its official launch a week later.
